Fitness Circuit at Prince Albert Park

 A circuit of 5 fitness machines were added along the walk/jog path that circles the park. There are stickers on each machine explaining the proper use of each. The descriptions below are taken directly from triactiveamerica.com

   Leg Press
  • Uses your own body weight to strengthen your thighs, calves, and gluteal muscles. 
  • Each side has a different length seat bar to accommodate different heights. 
  • Function: Strength
  • Muscles Activated: Gluteals/Rear, Quadriceps/Front of Thighs, Calves
  • Exercises to Perform: Seated Leg Press
  • Recommended Users: Adults 

 
Back Extension


  • This exercise promotes lower back strength, glutes, and hamstrings. It develops flexibility and helps with posture and alignment.
  • Function:  Strength
  • Muscles Activated:  Lower back, Chest, Shoulders, Triceps (Push-ups) 
  • Exercises to Perform:  Back Extensions, also Push-ups, Dips
