The Princeville at Hanalei Community Association has a Patrol person on duty 24/7.

Patrol is responsible for enforcing the Protective Covenants and PHCA Rules and for keeping an eye out for suspicious behavior.

When to Call Patrol                                                                                                                                              

  • When you wish to make a complaint regarding noise nuisance (loud tv noise, loud party, etc)
  • When you see suspicious activity / people
  • If you have had a break in, call and inform Patrol after you have involved the Kaua'i Police Department (KPD)

Patrol's Process for Noise Complaints

  • From 7am - 10pm ~ When a noise complaint call is received, Patrol will head to the property and observe the complaint. If the noise is deemed a violation, Patrol will speak to the guests/residents and will issue a violation. A fine of $150 may be charged. 
  • From 10pm - 7am ~ When a noise complaint call is received, Patrol will head to the property and observe the complaint. If the noise is deemed a violation, Patrol will speak to the guests/residents and a $300 fine will be charged. If the noise continues, additional $500 fines will be charged every 30 minutes that the noise continues. 
  • Residents are urged to call Patrol with every occurrence. It is very important for Patrol to have the calls documented to follow the procedures outlined above. It is Patrol's job to take your complaints, so please don't feel like you are bothering them!

If you are leaving the island for a while, call Patrol and let them know you will be gone.
They will make sure to be watchful of your property while you are away.
